Solitary Walk (Relics Of A Phase Transcended)

A poem I wrote a long time back.

"Solitary Walk"

My solitary walk
My solitary talk
to the walls around me

Because you are not there
to hear me

Without you
I am like a child
Raw, naked and tender
To the sweltering summer

I need you
I need your shelter...
_____

Part II
Every few days
She comes back to me
Haunts me
Hurts me
As if in search of eternal revenge

I cry out in the still of the night
I cry out her name

Unable to decide whether it's respite that I seek
Or more pain...

Love not reciprocated has the power to destroy. In our world, it doesn't seem like it is reciprocated at all.

My belief is that in a perfect world (and such worlds do exist - if you ask me) - love always finds wonderful reciprocation, although love can never be easy.

Why I believe such worlds exist (I like to call them Buddha Worlds) is a long discussion, perhaps I'll post my beliefs some other time.

Preity Zinta Psychedelia

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta..

She has charmed millions of Indians with her bubbly personality and sense of humour. Has been given the nickname 'bubbly' by friends.

She has become quite famous overseas too, especially in the middle east. They are crazy about her. As are many Indians.

She loves Advaita Vedanta, and is a fan of Ayn Rand.

Her hometown is Shimla, a beautiful hill station a few hours north from New Delhi.

Intoxicating mixture of beauty and brains.

Formless

Introduction:

This poem on formless life is not based on any religious texts. It is pure mysticism.

There are many religions/movements out there like advaita (a branch of hinduism), Buddhism, Judiasm etc. (too many to name) that endorse 'formless life' concepts. I am neither for nor against such religions.

It's based on my personal 'feeling realisations'.

'Feeling realisations' is a phrase coined by spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle (a mystic who is not aligned to any religion or path).

Feeling realisations are pointers. To the mysteries of the cosmos...

"FORMLESS"

Part I

My arms are mine
but my arms are not me

My legs are mine
but my legs are not me

My eyes are mine
but my eyes are not me

My body is mine
but my body is not me

I live in my body...
but my body is not me...

I was
I am
I will always be...
FORMLESS

_____________

Part II

Where are you?
In your eyes?
In your hands?
In your arms?
In your legs?
Where do you live, in your body?

If you were not in your hands, your hands would not be alive.
If you were not in your legs, your legs would not be alive.
If you were not in your eyes, your eyes would not be alive.
You are everywhere in your body.

You
the one who sees through your eyes

You are...

Jain view of Jiva:

"Jains respond that the jiva cannot be localized in any part of an object but permeates it entirely, just as the light from a lamp fills a room" - Jainism by Ron Huntington.

Surya Namaskaram Part 2

Surya = Sun;
Namaskaram = Acknowledgement, respect, greeting.

Some women (sometimes) pray naked to appease the gods.

For example, in Nepal, some farmer women work naked in the fields to appease the god INDRA, so that he may bless their fields with rain. They believe he will.

BBC reports say this is done once a year.*****

Men are required to stay at home and not go to the fields when their wives perform the above mentioned ritual.

*****Am 99% sure it is done once a year, but am crosschecking once again, to make sure. Will update soon.
