Especially the negative, terminal, 'no way out' ones....
Consider how huge existence is....Life is a huge affair...huge...wide..
Consider how limited your slumber laden view is...

Breathe The NOW with Jeff Foster
"Don't resist or fight to attain external freedom before knowing who you truly are. Simply turn inwards, and know ever more deeply the freedom inherent in your own Being. Keep your eyes on the prize, the inextinguishable light that you are; let it give you strength and relax you, no matter what is happening on the outside. Separation will fall, chains will be broken, the powerful will become weak, and external freedom will arrive as spring follows winter, as exhalation follows inhalation. For darkness cannot survive your stunning light, and true freedom cannot ever be taken from you. Knowing who you are - this is spiritual victory!" - Jeff Foster
"Even if you cannot picture your future, do not despair.
All dreams of the future are already in the past.
Your true future is already taking care of itself.
The present moment is your home, never coming, never going.
It can be trusted, so breathe it in."
"Your worst fears have never come true. And even if they have - you're still here. Present. Alive. Breathing. In this moment, life is brand new. You cannot be destroyed." - Jeff Foster
Question:When clarity comes I can see that I can handle the world. One step at a time.
But soon this clarity morphs into a hellish whirlwind that threatens to wipe everything out.
What do I do?
only the now is lucid, solid and clear, isn't it? the past and future are only hazy dreams, right?
so where do you think the true power is? is it in something solid, clear and lucid, or is it in something hazy, dark, unclear and ever confused?
where do you think life lives? in the now? or in some hazy and confused realm?
where do you think the shadow lives? where do you think evil resides?
don't ignore the realm of shadows. just don't get trapped by it. don't allow the realm of shadows to obscure your vision, your now experience.
the now has no past. no future. no time. it is true life. breathe in the now and feel its power. feel life.
the now cannot be threatened or sabotaged by the shadow realm. can the moon take away the light of the sun?
the eclipse is only an illusion. and the sun always comes back. it wasn't destroyed by the moon was it, when the eclipse was occurring?
breathe in the now. do not worry about the stale air of the shadow realm. it will disperse. or it won't. in either case, it cannot do anything. and the shadow realm knows it.
it knows it cannot enter the now, it knows it cannot mix with the now. it can only meander outside the boundaries of the now.
but you can see why the eclipse occurs........
as you can see clearly, the now has no story. and you can see that this is nothing to be frightened of.
do not ignore the shadow's stories or its sensations. do not resist them either.
listen to the shadow's stories without resistance and without fear. that is all it wants. and if you do that, the shadow will not eclipse the now, it will start assisting the now.
the shadow will try to eclipse the now through its stories and hazy emotions. that is not a problem. it's not going to kill you. it can't.
because the shadow is an absurd animal, that collapses under the weight of its own stories, and the eclipse goes away.
the shadow's stories, real or imaginary, cannot withstand the now. just listen peacefully.
the now cannot be threatened. it neither comes, nor goes. it just is. and it is beautiful, story less.
the now cannot be threatened. it is the realm of shadow, the hazy realm that is threatened by its own stories. because it looks for death in its stories. and when it finds it, it collapses, and the only result of that collapse is the un-eclipsing of the now.
the now can't be sabotaged. you cannot be sabotaged.
the now is the beautiful, comfortable home the shadow is searching for. and when the shadow realises this truly, it will start assisting the now, and give up its death centric stories.
because the shadow hates pain and wants relief. it wants a home.
Question: What do you make of the following quote?
"That memory has got you hooked and holds you to the past and it holds you to death." - Alan Watts.
Answer: Who is Alan Watts? A character in the shadow realm. Who is he addressing? An unnamed 'you' in the shadow realm.
Who is being held to the past? Can it be the presence in the NOW? Who can it, the memory, hold to death, except itself?
Question: I keep falling out of the NOW. What do I do?
Answer: If you can fall out of the NOW, you are a shadow entity. When you are in the NOW, you are not there at all. Only the NOW is. But this dissolution of you, as you enter the NOW, is not a violent process. It's normal.
Eclipse and non eclipse of the NOW is a continuous process. Staying in the NOW is not a one time thing. It is a dynamic process. And that is normal. Nothing to be concerned about.
Question: The past and future stories from the realm of shadows keeps overcoming me. What to do. I don't want to be overcome by the shadow.
Answer: We have established that the NOW has true power because of its solid, lucid nature. We have established that the realm of shadow is like a flickering torch on weak batteries.
Don't struggle. That's all there is to it. Do not resist the stories of the shadow realm, no matter how terrible they are. THEY ARE IMPERSONAL STORIES.
The shadow realm will BLESS YOU. IT WANTS TO BLESS YOU. JUST LISTEN TO WHAT IT SAYS WITHOUT REACTING NEGATIVELY AND IT WILL BLESS YOU.
DON'T REJECT IT AND IT WILL BLESS YOU.
THE SHADOW HAS NOT ONLY DISASTERS BUT ALSO TREASURES. AND REMEMBER THAT THIS ENTIRE DIALOGUE IS IN THE SHADOWS. BECAUSE THE NOW DOES NOT SPEAK. IT IS ALWAYS SILENT, SERENE, COMFORTABLE AND STORY LESS.
A correct way of looking at the 'shadow' is that it also unfolds in the NOW. It is a part of the picture. That absorbs your attention due to its highly emotional content.

Faith, Reason, Courage, Death
A perspective...worshippers of the fierce Goddess Kali believe that fear, terror and danger do not come alone. That they always come along with Kali's protective shade. But often, the human is unable to feel her love and protection because his mind is frozen in fear and terror.
In such times, deep faith is necessary that one is not unprotected.
We always examine every paper document that comes our way. We don't assume that these papers are perfect and factual.
Same way we should not assume that 'thought documents', which include memories, are 100% true and factual. Because such an assumption would mean we are giving the mind omnipotent, God like status.
Whether we consider the psychological self ("I") to have been born from the mind, or whether we consider the "I" to have existed prior to the mind, or whether we question its very ontology - in all cases - there is a transcendental agency within us, that has the ability to view the mind from a distance, and question it, reject it whenever required. This agency must be nurtured.
Example of this transcendental agency in action - a quote by Swami Vivekananda - "Every thought that strengthens you must be taken up, and every thought that weakens you must be rejected"
"Your worst fears have never come true. And even if they have - you're still here. Present. Alive. Breathing. In this moment, life is brand new. What you are cannot be destroyed." - Jeff Foster

The Birth Of Memory
If you look carefully, you'll see memory being born.
If you look carefully, you'll see memory lose credibility, right in front of your eyes.
Your memory should technically emanate from YOU. Do these memories that tell you what your past is, do these memories emanate from you? Do they sound like you thinking? Are they consistent with your personality?
There are a lot of things you don't know. Do not draw conclusions. Especially the negative ones. Your worst fears cannot come true. The world is not omnipotent. You are not omni-powerless.
You take a tiny segment out of their behaviour, and then say this is who he is. Often your fear gives them omnipotent status in your mind. This is utter delusion. Nothing could be further from the truth, if you look carefully. Nothing to worry about. Just involve yourself in things that will help you reduce fear. This is all you have to do.
When the time comes, true knowledge and sufficient protection will emerge from the surroundings. On its own. It has happened before. It will happen again.
"Your worst fears have never come true. And even if they have - you're still here. Present. Alive. Breathing. In this moment, life is brand new. What you are cannot be destroyed." - Jeff Foster

Meditation With Mooji
Don't give any attention to thoughts, even if they appear important. Stay peaceful, and the thoughts will become impotent.
Thoughts will continue to try and sabotage your peace, as you watch.
They will give little messages to sabotage your seeing.
Watch their antics. Their threats. Their temptations, their fears, their sense of urgency, their monkey nature.
Their stories are impersonal and go nowhere. Through peaceful watching you will realise this.
"Life is big enough, to take all our mistakes, all our adventures. You can't outlarge life."
"Mind is trapped in the illusion that it should feel happy"
By Y V Chawla.
Psychological hurt is psychological discomfort. Absorbing this discomfort without any explanation opens the door to the secret of Existence.
The error has taken over the present mind that it should feel happy, stay pleased, stay relieved all the time as if feeling of confusion, fear, any uneasy feeling does not belong to it. If you notice this insistence of the mind, it drops- the Original energy touches you. You are attuned to supreme relaxation with unending friction to operate.
When you allow your feelings (fear, confusion, anxiety) as they are, your imagination becomes clear, what you want becomes clear. We are carried away as if thinking can change or undo any feeling.
‘I do not want to be angry’. ‘I want to be free from fear’. ‘I want to be happy’. And so on. The words create an alienation as if there is a separate entity to reject or retain. Can you notice this? This noticing is the concentration of total energy.
We are enamoured as if pleasure, relief, feeling good are independent experiences as if they can stay or stabilize. Pleasure, relief, feeling good is dependent upon, is essentially experienced against pain, stress, some uneasy feeling. Once one notices the connection-pleasure, relief, feeling good are not registered in the brain as something stable. The touch of the Original happens.
We want to rest through the relief, pleasure offered by entertainment, intoxications, addition to possessions, relations, holidays against the compulsion of work. Mind registers this relief, is inclined as if this part (entertainment and so on) is actual life. We forget that this pleasure, relief is dependent upon, is because of compulsion experienced at work. Once we see the connection, the fused state takes over.

Dealing With A Crisis
Crises often come from many directions simultaneously. And tend to overwhelm.
This post will not try to solve your crises. But yes, it will remind you that crises do get over, and when they do, they don't look that dangerous in hindsight.
When the crisis is looming, it appears menacing. Larger than life. Larger than the living force that sustains us. Which it cannot be.
A lot of speculation exists on the true nature of a crisis. Some would compare it to childbirth. To metamorphosis.
We'll leave such speculation aside. And come straight to how to deal with it, how to cut it down to size.
We need to focus on the emotions underlying the painful stories forming in the mind.
Transcend the stories. Focus on emotions associated with the stories. Feel them. The burden may lighten. Perhaps the crises are not as bad as you thought?
The mind, when in a state of panic, thinks only of the worst case scenario. Over and over.
Living a life in which one is moving from one worst case scenario to another is a low quality life.
So the painful stories have to be transcended. And painful emotions have to be addressed.
Life can become easier. More breathing space can result.
Trust life. Be broad minded. Don't assume that the worst case scenario will unfold for you. That is a wrong approach to life. Life is huge. It can absorb our mistakes.
Mistakes mixed with fear push our mind into assuming that the worst case scenario will unfold for us.
And even if the worst case scenarios start unfolding for you, because of the mistakes you have made, so what? YOU ARE LARGER THAN THE FULL HIT OF ALL THE WORST CASE SCENARIOS YOU CAN IMAGINE.
There is no way one can do anything in life without making mistakes. Mistakes happen all the time...because life does not come with an instruction manual. Yet life goes on. Millions of people live, prosper, thrive.
“Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before,” - Neil Gaiman
"The chief trick to making good mistakes is not to hide them — especially not from yourself.
Instead of turning away in denial when you make a mistake, you should become a connoisseur of your own mistakes, turning them over in your mind as if they were works of art, which in a way they are." …….. -Daniel Dennett
A negative person has endless confidence in negative outcomes. Looks upon positive things as temporary, deceptive, traps, etc.
