Solitary Walk (Relics Of A Phase Transcended)

A poem I wrote a long time back.

"Solitary Walk"

My solitary walk
My solitary talk
to the walls around me

Because you are not there
to hear me

Without you
I am like a child
Raw, naked and tender
To the sweltering summer

I need you
I need your shelter...
_____

Part II
Every few days
She comes back to me
Haunts me
Hurts me
As if in search of eternal revenge

I cry out in the still of the night
I cry out her name

Unable to decide whether it's respite that I seek
Or more pain...

Love not reciprocated has the power to destroy. In our world, it doesn't seem like it is reciprocated at all.

My belief is that in a perfect world (and such worlds do exist - if you ask me) - love always finds wonderful reciprocation, although love can never be easy.

Why I believe such worlds exist (I like to call them Buddha Worlds) is a long discussion, perhaps I'll post my beliefs some other time.

I really like the poem. You are looking for that missing part of you, in a love. I hope you find it, and her. But remember that the two might now always be connected as one. Nice pic too, to go with it.
