Devil or Satan & his cronies, and their Hell

An innocent girl stands and watches the ugly looming figure seducing her, trying to woo her...

(The following are Ozzy Osbourne lyrics from the song Mr. Tinkertrain.)

He sings...'Would you like some sweeties lil girl, come a lil closer...I'm going to show you a brand new world tonite...I've got a one way ticket...to take you to the other side....so come and dont feel shy...'

"I've got a palace full of fantasy...Ready made just for you and me...Once you're there I'm gonna take you for a ride...I got a one way ticket...To take you to the other side...I've got a one way ticket, so come along and don't be shy..."

So come along and play my game
You'll never be the same

Close the curtains and turn out the lights
Beneath my wing it's gonna be alright

A little secret just for you and me

I've got the kind of toys you've never seen

Manmade and a bit obscene

Little angel come and sit upon my knee.....

The innocent girl succumbs.....and the ride through hell begins....

This story repeats itself everyday in this world. Usually in a psychological sense.

Hell seems to exist in everyday life, everyday relationships and not just in fantasy.

But it's not real.

The Devil is not real either.

What people call "The Devil" is nothing more than an anthropomorphism of emotional pain. Vampires, demons, demonesses etc. are also the same thing. Attribution of human like characteristics to emotions and phenomena.

Epilogue:

"When I reached hell, I realised there was nothing there. From a distance it is a very seductive horror show, with graceful vampiresses, evil temptresses, powerful demonesses with beautiful-ugly faces, sharp teeth and fantastic figures and blood dripping from their mouths....but when you reach there, you realise there is nothing there."

You have a pessimistic view of human relations, but I do think you have a point. Like here, in the tarot the Devil is about power.

Hi Drakkan,

I am not pessimistic at all. At the end of the blog entry I have said that emotional pain is an illusion. That's not pessimisim.

Vikram my friend! It seems you have been busy... I will just briefly touch on a few things you stated, and should you want more clarification then by all means, let me know...

You stated: Hell is a Psychological Illusion, A Psychological Game.....

Well..you are talking about 2 different ideas now...Are you speaking of Hell as in a state of being, or Place? Because depending on your answer, your definition does not hold water.

You then stated: Hell exists in everything.... Well depending on how you answer in the above, you are then validating that Hell is real because your stating it exists in everything.

You stated: The Devil is not real. And that you have proof.. Well, you then have to validate alot because if the Devil is not real, then how do you explain The psycology or existence of Hell?

an·thro·po·mor·phism is the word you used.Meaning=
n. Attribution of human motivation, characteristics, or behavior to inanimate objects, animals, or natural phenomena.

Well...to me you are using this term-however you stated the Devil is not real....So how can you use this term for something you site is not real or just psychological?

Interesting to read your thoughts.More interested in to read you reply my handsome friend.

Very interesting article! :-)

I like the way you think!

A few years ago I wrote a dissertation on the history of "Satan"... the story of how the devil began and continued through history is quite a tale actually.

Like you I do not see a being tempting coercing or manipulating us in an attempt to get us in Hell.

No, I see our humanness... evolving, moving, managing, struggling, with our shadow, which IMO, is our selves moving into awarness. Evolving from our primitive instinctual selves into our civilized, sentient, conscious aware selves.

Ohh but it is a journey no?

Nice to see you Vikram!

I agree with you to a certain extent, in that I don't believe there is a horned red guy sporting a goatee presiding over a celestial dustbin for undesirable souls.

But to deny that there is a force of darkness? That can be self defeating.

Hi Merlyn,

I am not denying that there is a force of darkness.

The force of darkness is within the human being. It is emotional pain, and this is what I am saying in this blog entry.

Emotional pain, if not dealt with, creates more emotional pain. It is the force of darkness, or whatever else you want to call it.

From emotional pain, yes, we see that in psychopaths and dictators all the time. But what about the darkness that comes from detachment?

For example: Take your average billion dollar making corporate CEO. He makes decisions that may impoverish thousands just so he can squeeze just a little more profit out of his business. Is he doing this because somebody hurt him in the past? No. He's doing it because money has become his God and he has a sense of entitlement over other humans. Just as evil as Ted Bundy, but coming from a different direction.

Great blog post, my friend, you really got me thinking on this one!

Hi Trey, I like your thoughs too, my friend...love it when intelligence visits my blog, which is a rare thing these days! Feel free to comment on more of my blog entries.

For approaching your argument from my point of view, we'd have to introduce the concept of 'living pain from the past'.

Emotional Pain from the past travels from generation to generation....and collects in very severe intensity in certain individuals.

Eckhart Tolle calls this emotional pain that travels from generation to generation 'LIVING PAIN'.

This pain is alive, but it is not a person. It is trapped life energy that has become torturous, rotton, violent, over thousands of years. It is the force of darkness, but it is not a person.

We all have a share of this collective pain, but some individuals like the ones you mention (genocidal maniacs like hitler etc) get a HUGE share of it.

It consumes them too. Emotional pain is like a double edged sword. Consumes the surroundings, and consumes the host too. If they dont die premature, they soon turn into the 'walking dead', zombies...because their share of this collective emotional pain is just too huge...

This explains the existence of hitlers of this world to me.

As far as your crooked CEO is concerned...well...almost every human, if given sufficient amount of power, will do exactly what the crooked CEO does....suck his surroundings dry, using his power.

The crooked CEO was just another guy on the road once. Nothing special about him...he just made it big...by hook or..well..crook!
